OYO Waves Hotel Newport or - Nye Beach

Pool building is in terrible condition even though it was clean elaborate was small rocked and made a lot of noise and we canceled our stay for July on May 4th and still todate zero refund

Although it states that it is close to the beach (which it is) there is no beach access within walking distance ( for those with small children) no front desk service in the evenings, no lighting on our floor (outside access) did not feel safe to go to the car in the evening. No screens in windows to get fresh air. Breakfast was literally cereal- English muffins and bagels- Nothing else, nothing that a diabetic could enjoy- no protein.Very disappointing.

This hotel was gross and dirty, run down and we contemplated just leaving when we saw the room and driving home all night, but were exhausted. The floors were dirty and carved into with hundreds of scratches, the shower curtain was torn, all the towels were stained, the bed spreads on two queen beds were stained, no drain cover in sink, the toilet had chunks missing from the seat cover, no screens on windows, the entry door was scratched up and hard to get the bolt to lock. It ruined our last day and instead of visiting the beach in the morning, we just wanted out of there and get home to take another shower. We paid $280 for a total dump. One of the worst hotel rooms and experiences I have ever had. That bad. Cigarette butts all over the broken stairs and property. We were third floor and my poor elderly mom had to climb up those stairs. The staff were friendly. The beach close. Not worth it. One and done. It needs a major overhaul.

Worst experience at the coast ever. I literally go all year round and have stayed in everything and this is bottom of the barrel. No hand soaps, conditioners shampoo, no extra blankets it was like a sheet and one hospital blanket with complementary blood stain. The bathtub had a fiberglass patch and the screens had been cut/removed, So dangerous if you have kids or pets like us. For the EXTREMELY high price of this room you can stay in a 2 bedroom cottage at the silver surf. Sorry I don’t write reviews but this requires one. Fair warning if you stay here!!!!

One of the worst places we’ve ever stayed and it was expensive. Old and run down . Bathroom ancient. Fan loud, no hooks, thin towels, broken toilet seat, stinky water. Paid mega bucks for crap . Sickening. Staff friendly but that didn’t make it any better

The rooms where ok..we paid for full ocean view and the first night when we got in the bed was broken and we spoke to the girl in the office ( that was amazing!) She told us that our new room would be ready later in the afternoon. When we got back later that day there was a new girl in the office she had horrible CS and they down graded us because the room still wasn't ready, and we were really tired from not sleeping well and had to go find something to do all day waiting for our new room, instead of relaxing on our vacation. They wouldn't refund the difference in pay for the room that we were told is a partial view, earlier that morning. When I questioned her for manager phone number she treated me horribly and told me that if there is a problem we can't stay at hotel. I was dumbfounded by the way they treat a customer. The ocean view room didn't have a screen on one window and the other window had a big hole in it so I wasn't able to open the window to listen to the beach or enjoy the breeze. I wouldn't recommend this hotel as a 5 or even 4 star hotel. The pictures are not even what we thought what we were getting.
